Taihe square originated from Taihe, which was founded by Hu family from Jiangxi Province in the fourth year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty. It was initially named "yuanlizhen" and renamed "Taihe" in the third year of Xianfeng. After generations of inheritance, Taihe has developed into the largest soy sauce garden in Western Sichuan. After the change of public-private partnership, collective, state-owned and joint-stock system, the company was restructured and renamed Chengdu Dawang Brewing Food Co., Ltd. in 2001, which was controlled by Mr. Chen Daofu, chairman of the board, in 2005.
